Three parrots, each painstakingly hand crafted from hand rolled art glass sit watch over your living room, den, bedroom or office in this one of a kind accent lamp. Each bird is beautifully recreated in colors so vivid, you will feel as though you have been transported to the Amazonian jungle. The parrots sit atop a plant shaped metal base complete with leaves and reeds that is finished in antique bronze.

These gorgeous TOUCANs (these are not parrots, as you can see from the picture) look even better when set up than I'd hoped! The lamp base is sturdy ... there are screws that help you set the birds tightly in their sockets, which is easy but looks a little odd. I loved the birds so much I did not take off a star for that :) The hardest part of setup is buying the right light bulb. Note that the bub goes into the bird, and so you cannot pick a wide one. My candelabra do not fit since they are about a quarter inch too wide. However, the radio style long tubes that I picked reach practically into the head of the bird, and light the head as well as the body. They are T6 1W LED, 10 Watt equivalent, radio style, E12 base, super warm white 2200K Dimmable, from Century Light. I decided against the short/thinner Christmas tree lights since I did want the whole bird to light up. The birds are glass panels, glass beads, and lead between them, clearly hand made and uniquely beautiful shades. I would avoid putting this in a child's room because of the led and because the birds themselves are not tightly set into the sockets. Should be fine for adults. This is a lovely accent piece, and I'm glad I bought it.
